Another topic , what a surprise 0_o


I'm trying to make a mapping server so me and furious (and maybe others why not) can make maps together , i configured anything , set fps , run resources but how can i make it as others can connect . I am using hamachi , but i would like to know how to make it without it (just putting my ip and not the hamachi ip) if it isn't hard . And about connecting ... on me it's ok but when furious tries to connect it says "connection timed out" , any suggestions ?

i just start the server, send the ip and host to the one i want in, findmyip.com or somthing like that and he joins no need of hamachi and shit

enter to your router almost always on your explorer 192.168.1.1
Find the section "NAT"

And open the specific port that you put in your mta config of your server asociated to the IP of your PC with the server
Example: 192.168.1.12 with port open 22003 on your router

And then send the pulic ip + port to others for connect
example: 123.12.34.45:22003

I know it cause I had a server open for almost 1 year, and if u want to see it on server list I can help you too.

As blacky said you have to open ports

You have to open 2 ports, UDP port for the MTA server to be able to connec to and TCP port for players to be able to download client files.
Also your server port + 123 for your server to be visible in server browser but that isn't needed if it's a private server.

MAPPING SERVER

Since my ip is dynamic only who wants to join me will be able to join the server .

Step1 : install tunngle : http://www.tunngle.net/index.php?l=en

Step2 : Join Shooter>Fun Shooter>Grezzo 2

Now connect on the server using my ip ( contact me on skype for it : sagaris991 )

It has the nfs nos resource and higher fps to allow you map more comfortable . Feel free to join me  \m/

I'm gonna post more info on private forum :D
