So if I am following this correctly you left SiK as a recruit less than a week ago, but am now asking to be rejoin SiK.
That being the case I'm not so sure I can say yes.

The trial period is there to both evaluate whether the candidate is mature and responsible enough to effectively administrate, and also whether the candidate has a certain level of dedication to the clan.
You did not make it through that trial period without leaving which shows a lack in that second criteria.
I could possibly be persuaded to say yes with the requirement that your trial period be reset.

Hey folks.

Some of you may of already seen these as I posted them in the Shoutbox, but thought I'd put em here too as I realised they don't stay at the top of the shoutbox long.

Essentially I've come up with a few possible improvements regarding the display of our Wall of Fame, Championship Winners, and Live Player List.
These have some cross over as I'm just conceptualising at the moment.

Obviously one is intended to sit in the side bar and the other is intended to sit in the middle under the shoutbox.
Something to consider is that the sidebar is always displayed whereas the middle bar is only displayed on the home page.

So any thoughts? Like them? Hate them? Got any suggestions?
Perhaps a combination of the sidebar and middle bar version would be most appropriate.

Neither of these are currently retrieving data from the server, they are just static at the moment to demonstrate how they might look.
For the search feature I am envisaging that upon hitting show it will display the specified player in the middle, with the 3 players immediately higher ranked above them, and lower ranked beneath them.

Thought some of you might be interested in a few statistics regarding the top players over the last few months.
so I have attached an graph of results recorded thus far, along with the xml spat out by my script.

Most notably the most points gained in a single month rests with r1d3r in April 2012 with 11570.
Lets see if someone can top that :)

Right well I reduced the size of the bar by half, made them closer together, and moved them to the top of the screen....perhaps people will prefer that. Otherwise I'll just set it back.

Perhaps on lower resolutions the bars appear to large so I could reduce it. One of the main reasons I moved it to the center was so I could lift the split times which I thought was was taking too much space, so don't really want to move it back. Still get the general impression that most prefer the original though which is fine.

Right, well the changes I had wanted to make are on the server now (Assuming it hasn't been restarted cause I haven't modified the config cause that requires a restart and there have been players on).
Kept a backup though of course so if people don't like em then that's perfectly fine. :)

Hey there folks :)

I've just started looking at ways I can go about perhaps tidying up the interface on our server as its a little messy at times I'm sure you'd agree.
One thing I've implemented on my own test server is a relocation and redesign of the Health and Speed bars, with the intention that by moving them I can free up space at the top right, where I can then move the splittimes ladder up to the very top.

So I've attached a screenshot of just how the new bars look on my server if you want to take a quick look and let me know if its hot or not that'd be great :) Criticisms welcome, I'm no designer.
Obviously the screenshot only contains the bars, I've not had time to grab the other resources from our server and add them yet.
Things to note, its now at the bottom center (obviously) and instead of the bar moving from left to right it expands from the center.

Additionally currently on the server we have a little SiK logo, but its a bit dated now, and I've seen a few nice images made by people here, so if anyone would like to take a crack at designing a new one it could get popped on there :)

If that doesn't help then I would start to look at some of the resources running. For instance that Ajax player list we have running there could potentially be hitting the server quite frequently, especially if its not done quite right. Might have to be a bit more minimalist with our selection of resources. Not necessarily a bad thing, some of them don't look or work fantastic anyway.
