Hot News!

As you might have noticed The SiK server is lagging when we have more than 15 players online. In the next period we will try to solve this issue.

We will also try to upgrade a number of outdated resources and to develop the current options into one bigger menu for a more friendly use.
[SiK]Clark_Kent and [SiK]Evolution will take care of the development.

Note: we know there are a lot of wishes but the first goal is to make the server stable and lag-free. Further progress will be announced by [SiK]Clark_Kent.

Announcement:

Because of the still growing popularity of SiK – Speed is King, and after a thoughtful idea we are proudly to announce a 3rd SiK server. This 3rd server - which is fully administrated by [SiK]Jazzy - would be a server with special developed maps and graphics.

On fullysik.net we’ll have a new forum section which will be used for (new) announcements and other talk about this 3rd server. So if you have further questions, please visit the new section.

Development
Jazzy is also looking for people who can help him with scripting and other kind of stuff. So please, if you have the knowledge to help him don’t hesitate.

Multi Theft Auto Discussion / Scripts

We had a topic 'Maps' maybe a new topic 'Scripts' will be handy as well.

I got a nice script (developed by Tigress). When you make a map, and have some checkpoints that changed the vehicle, we all know that this transition sux many times. With this script your car will be get transform to the other vehicle in a Smooth and morphing way. It gives a cool effect.

Random / How to get a better FPS

Some guys asked me how they could improve their fps, so I made a short manual for it. Maybe you can use it.
I know there are a lot of more options to get a better fps, but these are easy to check.

How to improve your fps and remove lag
When you play MTA It’s imported to have the highest fps (frames per second) as possible. If you have a low fps just take a look at the following options:

To improve the fps you can:

Ingame
1.   Lower your game resolution. 1024x768. You can select this resolution with the MTA settings. First you can try 1024x768 32bit, then 1024x768 16bit.
2.   Start the GTA single player executable and change your graphical details to ‘Low’

Windows
1.   Defragment your hard drive
2.   Be sure not to run more than 1 anti-virus / adware program. If your PC is not a fast machine, be sure not to run Norton antivirus (it lags on older PC’s). A good alternative is Windows Defender (it’s free).
3.   Don’t run (or open) too much programs at the same time. Just close all programs. Don’t forget too close msn, skype and your browser(s).
4.   Take a look at the “add / remove” software list, and remove old software. If you not sure about it, don’t remove it (!) It can be a software driver for your hardware. To be sure, just Google the software name.
5.   Be sure to have enough space on your C: drive. (at least a couple of GB’s)
6.   Be sure to use the latest version of DirectX, free windows software that runs on the background.

1.   Try to update your video driver.

Windows installation
If you know how to install a clean copy of Windows, just give it a try. Before you install, just determine which Main board you have (use http://www.piriform.com/speccy), and download the latest drivers for all of your mainboard components. Never use your old driver installation CD’s, but download always the latest drivers.

New hardware
If you can spend some money, just buy a better video card. In most cases you can use a GeForce 210 DDR3 (30 euro) to get a good fps.

Multi Theft Auto Discussion / F2 - Money script

It looks like the F2 script is working, but gives problems with the color of cars. If you drive through a CP, your car will be black for a couple of seconds. Maybe this is caused by the F3 car color script.

The money option is fun. Now I finally can legally blow someone's car

Although it will cost $70.000
