Yes, we simply just can't stop uploading them, mappers would simply forget about this topic, then what would happen if we wanted more maps after we deleted too many of them? We would end up on a wild goose chase finding mappers and then have to upload copious amounts of maps.

I don't really see what the problem is with the amount of the maps on the server is, it gives random players a chance because we can easily forget some maps, I remember back in the day where there was only 800'ish maps, Demon and myself (and a few others :P) just couldn't be beaten as we knew ALL the lines because we had been playing some maps just waaaay too many times.

So long as we keep testing the maps before uploading them to ensure they aren't sucky we can prevent unhappy times.

yep, its good to still upload new maps because many can be good. But we should test them before uploading.

Also when the server was down i tried to get the old Adrenaline script working and it did :) So here are some new maps by me. I tested all and deleted the bad ones.

yes, I agree the more maps the merrier... it's always nice racing on a map you don't know and managing to get a toptime  ;D

Anyway, I might pick up map-making again, but I need to know what type of maps people enjoy... is there a poll or something someone can point me to? Or maybe the ratings of the current map types?

Sorry Tigress, but it seems people want more maps, but GOOD maps not shit maps.

So if anybody sees shit maps or doesn't like them write them down, or maybe i'll have samt come up with a system for that.

Maybe a command like on the MgC server, so you can report bad maps. But people should give good reasons why delete a map and if its reported it should not get deleted immediatly because many liked maps could be deleted just because 2-3 people dont like them.

Hey man, it's hard to understand what people like as we all definitely like different things in our maps, imo wide open circuit style maps are win, maps with stuff sticking out of them usually fail.

Maybe just give a map a shot, if most people don't like it, change the way it is or make a new one based on feedback. :D

Hope this helps :P

EDIT: Btw does anyone know how to get a map to open up in the new map editor so I am able to load the tutorial maps and edit them?

No Grim, unfortunately not. I?m also trying to import the tutorial maps from Zole.
I ask Zole how to do it, because I only saw a list of default maps in the editor.

He told me to put the tutorial maps (don?t unzip them!!) into:

C:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas 1.3\server\mods\deathmatch\resources\[gamemodes]\[race]\[maps]

I did, but the I don?t saw any new maps in the list of standard maps.
Then I placed the zip files on different places, but without any success.

I made a lot of maps myself during the Littlewhitey days without any problems, like:

After_SEX_on_the_Beach
Shake_and_Jump_Baby
Miami-Vice
MAD_HOUSE
LICK_MY_PUSSY_
George_W_Bush_goes_WILD_
Lets_go_to_mam_and_dad
commodore64
Gaan_met_die_Banaan
Peter_R_de_Vries

Now the editor seems to be changed. I don?t get it to work anymore. For me the old version was much better than the new one.
And my maps?.I lost them with a HDD crash. I ask some guys at the Littlewhitey forum to copy them for me, but they wouldn?t.

Yeah this is what I had seen googling around they all seem to say the same thing, I tried also searching for the default maps that came up in the open screen, but they don't store anywhere on the pc, I can't see why it couldn't be as simple as this -.-

Maybe we're missing something, I might ask mtasa forums for help on this.

Hmm unusual of Littlewhiteys to not do that for you they're normally willing to do this for people, well years ago anyways.

Hey guys, just unzip them into seperate folders and put those  into C:\Program Files (x86)\MTA San Andreas 1.3\server\mods\deathmatch\resources
Then fire up the editor and open them.
