Play new games on Ultra settings with old PC

I need to replace some PC’s which will be used also for gaming. But now there’s GeForce Now, and to me it looks awesome. So I like to know if there are some people here who also use GeForce Now and what their thoughts are.

A short explanation;

With GeForce now you can play games like Fortnite on HD with Ultra settings and a fps of 100 or more without the power of a Ultimate ‘DemonSeed’ PC , but just a regular office desktop, or even some TV Box’s. It even don’t care what kind of video card you have.

How it works and what do you need:

A good internet connection
Play with games you purchased on Steam / origin
A (for now) free GeForce now account (https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/geforce-now/)

So please let know what you think of it.

Just as for few another game streaming platforms (Google Project Stream and Microsoft's Project xCloud) I will give it a try as it's already in post-beta state. I don't think Nvidia's Geforce NOW has as huge potential as Microsoft's or Google's projects, but still it's good to see things are going this way; so you can enjoy the game for limited time, only for owning the device with Windows on it. You Dutch can not worry about your Internet connection, which is primary thing in game streaming, but many many nations will just not have this privilage to enjoy playing like this - also worth mentioning.

He said it's free for now. All you need is an account. Better use it while it is free cuz all free things eventually get paid later on

Hi r1d3r, just like FALTy said, you need a good internet connection. This is what you need:

10 Megabits per second – Required broadband connection speed
20 Megabits per second – Recommended for 720p 60 FPS quality
50 Megabits per second – Recommended for 1080p 60 FPS quality

And try to use ethernet. Wifi sux

Today I’ve tested it on my Android box (use it mainly for Kodi) and games were running very smooth. It was almost the same as if I ran it on a PC with 2 1080ti’s  hehe. Unfortunately there’s no 4k support on this moment.
Btw r1d3r, it’s free till the end of this year. It’s unknow what the price will be. Maybe it’s around 10 euro p/m.

Also did that, we'll see how it works with other devices than Windows-based notebooks I'll share my gameplay and on-look with some cool game when it's ready.

I don’t know why, but for me it took 2 weeks to get access.
On my Nvidia Shield it was already active.

With only 20 mb connection it hard playing with cloud.

I think Demon still beats us with his amazing builds. Maybe he can send us some (updated) details, or give a stats overview from GeekBench. My GeekBench results are here:

I got my system stable @5.1ghz, but with a lot of noise. So now it's @4.9ghz. Last change is a Evo 970 as C drive.
